Hi guys, I know today is about the last day of the trip but before we get started I wanted to share the pictures from when we went back to the room at the end of Day 7.
Art of Animation sign, nighttime, from the bus
Our towel swans, when we set out our Mouse-keeping envelope (for more info click here) , we told them it was our last night and asked if they would make us something special, they made us these 🙂
Ok now on to Day 8, that morning was our last morning so I had made us reservations at Chef Mickey (a recommendation from my mom), so we got up, took our bags to get checked in from the airport and got on a bus to the Magic Kingdom, from there we took the monorail to the Contemporary Resort.
We had a little time to kill before our reservation so we went to the shops did some pin trading and saw this awesome art pieces.
After our photo we were escorted in given some oj and told to help ourselves, here is part of the buffet from where we were sitting.
Breakfast pizza, biscuits, hashbrowns and quiche
Donald’s page (we never did see Daisy)
Goofy’s page (another hand drawn on the spot creation of hubby’s)
Mickey and Minnie’s autograph page
Breakfast was great, definitely the place to get your kids excited about a day in the parks, it is very loud and upbeat and alot is going on.
Once we were done and got our photopass+ package we headed back upstairs to catch the monorail to the Magic Kingdom the last time this trip.
Rapunzel’s autograph page
We went to Cinderella’s Castle to ask about lunch and it was a no good, didn’t hurt to check though.
From there we went to get out cards in Liberty Square to fight for Merlin’s army and we rode the Haunted Mansion one last time
The show was hilarious this time and Buddy got the number wrong, glad we did it again 🙂
We waited maybe 5 minutes and were called inside
Our table, they gave is a special tablecloth and a candle for our anniversary, was really sweet 🙂
The fries were good, I liked the sauce. The melon could have been riper, but for being cautious to try it, I was surprised.
Our anniversary candle shot
Both were delicious, I loved the texture of the cake.
Lunch was delicious, some people didn’t give it high reviews, but I was pleasantly pleased and happy we gave it a shot. When you are at Disney give it a go.
After lunch, we went to grab some snacks for the trip home and I picked up this cup I had had my eye on the whole trip
It is so neat because it looks like the original cups when the park opened but it is ceramic and has a silicone lid and nice plastic straw, I love it (drinking out of it as I type this.)
We headed back to the hotel on the bus, went to the bag area and got our carry-on bags and waited for the Magical Express at the bus stop
Last shots of hotel
We loaded on the bus and got to the airport about 3 hours before our flight (Magical Express gives you a time to meet at the bus stop to ensure you make your flight,) so we decided to check out the Disney Store in the airport heading to our gate.
After our window shopping we went through security and made our way to our gate
Easter bunnies at our gate
We grabbed a Monster from one of the shops and ate some of our Disney treats while I checked out the cute activities in the kids menu I picked up from Tony’s Town Square.
Our plane got there a bit late and we had to wait for some people, but we saw a pretty sunset from the plane as we waited.
Then we were off, headed back to Texas. We watched Rio on the way home and got back around 11 or so. One of my bags went to St Louis instead on home, but they found it and we came to get it next morning. They gave us a $50 voucher for the inconvenience, which will be great for our next trip (After Paris) 🙂
So there you have it guys, our 8 magical days at Disney for our Anniversary.
I hope you enjoyed reliving the trip with me. Tomorrow we will start the posts of what has been going on since we have been home, starting with Spamalot and the top tier of our wedding cake.
