Good morning, today we will finish day 4 of the trip. We headed over to the Magic Kingdom on the bus but my wonderful hubby wanted me to get to experience the Ferry and I wanted Kris to get to see another hotel, so we got to enjoy a nice romantic ride across the Seven Seas Lagoon. You can catch the ferry to the Wilderness lodge or the campground right next to the entrance to the main ferry to the parking island and before the monorail line, it is a nice little ride and you get to see the other hotels.
Wild flowers at the Wilderness Lodge (there was a bunny hiding in the flowers.)We checked out the lobby and the pool, did some pin trading then ran over to Magic Kingdom, popped in grabbed our Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom cards and popped right back out and headed for the bus back to our Resort. I was really ready to get out of my swim stuff, so I was happy to be heading back to our room.
Once we got back and freshened up we decided we would explore our resort a bit more and head over to our neighboring hotel, Pop Century, and see what they had to offer, we heard they had cupcakes:)
This is the other side of the Little Mermaid area, next to Ariel. It is very “Under The Sea” Themed
Even dancing fish 🙂
From there we went to the Lobby to get drinks and do some trading, here are some more of the gorgeous sketches and concept pieces along the lobby walls
Early sketch of Dory
After we checked out the Lobby we finally made our way over to Radiator Springs, which in my opinion is the best themed of all the sections of Art of Animation
Welcome to Radiator Springs, A Happy Place
The front desk was actually the laundry and restroom area and the “Motel” was the pool area, the cones were little cabana like areas for the pool, super fun 🙂
I was really impressed with the cars area, I loved that the cars were car sized instead of massive like the other characters are. Each part of the area was perfectly themed and really made my night.
From there we made our way through Nemo to cross the bride for Pop Century in search of a King Cupcake, I was determined to cross one off my list!
Mine Mine Mine!
Unfortunately they we out of King Cupcakes and we were getting hungry so we made our way back across the bridge with at least a better knowledge of when to get the elusive treat 🙂
It was not Napoli, I will tell you that, it was the basic take out pizza, nothing special but it did in a pinch. One thing to know though, if you are using a dining plan, this counts as two meals, you get a large pizza, two drinks and a dessert, not the best value for the deluxe plan when you could use this for a $90 meal at a sit down. To get the biggest bang for our buck, we got two Energy drinks,$5 a piece (since we already had our refillable mugs full of soda) and two $5 desserts. We headed back to the room, ate our pizza, watched a movie and prepared to see my Grandmother the next day, so excited!
So that is where we will start tomorrow, Downtown Disney, Lunch at T-Rex with my Grandma and meeting Kristy from the DVC. Until then, TTFN. Ta Ta for Now!
