Sunday Fun Food

on February 4, 2013

Good Monday everyone! Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I know there were super bowl parties and bbqs all over here. We aren’t football fans (sorry mom) but we enjoy fun food, so yesterday I made some fun food for breakfast 🙂 To get ready for our Disney trip, I thought Mickey heads would be fun for these yummy breakfast friends 🙂

Mickey Biscuits and Gravy

Aren’t they cute, forgot to take a picture of these beauties covered in yummy gravy, oops!!

They were super simple and delicious, great for a quick breakfast or a larger Sunday brunch.

1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup milk

Mix dry ingredients.

Add to oil and Milk to dry ingredients.

Mix lightly to moisten ingredients and knead one or two times to form ball.

Flatten out on wax paper .

Cut into 2″ biscuits (whatever shape you want)

Bake on an ungreased pan at 450F for 8-12 minutes, until lightly browned.

Sausage Gravy

2 tablespoons flour

They really did come out delicious and you aren’t feeling the gravy, you could always do a light honey glaze on top for some tasty honey butter biscuits like they have at Churches Chicken. Soooo Good. 🙂
